Flat Roofs………

Flat and low slope roofs are, unfortunately, very prone to leaking. Experienced, qualified installers are essential to sealing flat roofs properly. Chambless Roofing's installers all have years of experience in dealing with the challenges of flat roofs.

One of the most common types of flat roof materials we install is Modified Bitumen. Modified Bitumen also comes in rolls, and looks similar to roll roofing, but this material is torch applied over a base sheet, creating a seamless, one piece covering for the roof. Modified Bitumen comes in several colors, one of which will probably match the shingled portions of your roof.

EPDM is another common flat roofing material we use on flat roofs. EPDM is a single-ply

All flat roofs require periodic maintenance. If you plan on installing a flat roof, plan to have maintenance performed every other year to ensure it remains water-tight.

We also install flat roof coatings. Check out the coatings section of our web site to view the different types of flat roof coatings we use.

Spray Polyurethane Foam

What is Spray Polyurethane Foam?

Spray Polyurethane foam is commonly referred to SPF. It is a closed-cell, spray applied material that is formed by combining two liquids. When combined, the material immediately expands 20-30 times its volume, forming rigid polyurethane foam. The foam is sprayed on the entire roof surface to the desired thickness to form a seamless surface including flashing, penetrations, and parapet walls. SPF provides a durable, waterproof, covering that bonds tightly to nearly any properly prepared surface (asphalt shingles, built up roofs, clay, concrete, wood, metal, ECT).
SPF has an initial R-value of 7.14 per inch thickness, which provides more thermal resistance with less material than any other type of roofing insulation.  SPF is lightweight, approx. 8ou. per square foot.
*A roof coating must be installed to protect the foam from the sun’s harmful UV rays and moisture.

Advantages & Benefits:
Insulate & Cost Effective: Lowers surface temperature, which helps reduce the overall costs of heating and cooling bills. On most roofs tear off is not needed, speeding up installation and saving time & money.
Seamless: Seams in a roof are a major source of leaks. SPF is a totally seamless roofing system.
Self-Flashing & Flexible: Conforms to any structure or irregularly shaped surface.
Strength: Strong, lightweight and will not pack down or sag.
Long Life Span: SPF roofs can last indefinitely, needing only minor repairs using caulk or re-coat.
Very Versatile: Can be used on flat roofs, pitched, domed, metal, wood, new roofs, concrete, ECT.
Water & Air Tight: SPF’s closed cell structure resists the penetration of water & air.
Eliminates Ponding Water: Spray-in-place foam allows sloping, which eliminates ponding water issues.
Warranties: 5, 10, & 15 year warranties are available on most roofs.
