Flat Roofs……… Flat and low slope roofs are, unfortunately, very prone to leaking. Experienced, qualified installers are essential to sealing flat roofs properly. Chambless Roofing's installers all have years of experience in dealing with the challenges of flat roofs. One of the most common types of flat roof materials we install is Modified Bitumen. Modified Bitumen also comes in rolls, and looks similar to roll roofing, but this material is torch applied over a base sheet, creating a seamless, one piece covering for the roof. Modified Bitumen comes in several colors, one of which will probably match the shingled portions of your roof. EPDM is another common flat roofing material we use on flat roofs. EPDM is a single-ply All flat roofs require periodic maintenance. If you plan on installing a flat roof, plan to have maintenance performed every other year to ensure it remains water-tight. Spray Polyurethane foam is commonly referred to SPF. It is a closed-cell, spray applied material that is formed by combining two liquids. When combined, the material immediately expands 20-30 times its volume, forming rigid polyurethane foam. The foam is sprayed on the entire roof surface to the desired thickness to form a seamless surface including flashing, penetrations, and parapet walls. SPF provides a durable, waterproof, covering that bonds tightly to nearly any properly prepared surface (asphalt shingles, built up roofs, clay, concrete, wood, metal, ECT). Advantages & Benefits:
